Modric signs for Milan: Croatian legend continues his career in Serie A

The legend of Croatian football and long-time Real Madrid player, Luka Modric, will continue his career in the ranks of the Italian giants AC Milan. As reported by “La Gazzetta dello Sport”, the transfer has already been agreed, and a key role in its realization was played by the sports director Igli Tare, who met with Modric in Rijeka and received confirmation from the captain of Croatia.

Modric will sign a contract until the summer of 2026 with the possibility of extending it for another season. His salary will be around 3.5 million euros per year. Medical examinations are scheduled for next week, after completing his national team obligations and before leaving for the Club World Cup in the United States, where he will play his last matches for Real Madrid.

After the end of the club championship and a short break, Modric will join the preparations with AC Milan. However, due to Milan’s poor results this season, he will not play in European competitions. He will make his official debut match for the Rossoneri in the first round of the new Serie A season.
