Portugal, after 25 years and five consecutive defeats, managed to beat Germany. At the 2000 European Championship, the Portuguese celebrated over Germany 3:0 with a hat-trick from Sergio Conceicao, and tonight his son Francisco initiated the turnaround for victory.
The Germans took the lead at the Munich stadium with a goal from young star Florian Wirtz in the 48th minute.
The Portuguese lost the ball in their own half, and after an elegant cross from captain Kimmich, Wirtz headed the ball into the net.

Five minutes later, the Portuguese completed the turnaround. Bruno’s pass to Nuno Mendes cut through the German defence, the left-back played Ronaldo down the ground and sent the ball into the empty net.
Ronaldo scored for his national team for the 137th time.
Germany failed to reach the Nations League final even at their fourth attempt, while Portugal will have the opportunity to become the first team to win two trophies in the competition.
Their opponent in the final will be the winner of the match between Spain and France, which will be played on Friday.
