Massimiliano Allegri Returns to AC Milan as Head Coach, Replacing Sergio Conceicao

AC Milan have officially reappointed Massimiliano Allegri as their new head coach, following the departure of Sergio Conceicao, who was dismissed after just five months at the helm.

The club announced Conceicao’s exit on Thursday. Despite a promising start that saw him lift the Supercoppa Italiana in his opening week, the Portuguese manager failed to meet expectations. Under his leadership, Milan finished eighth in Serie A, missing out on European qualification, and also fell short in the Coppa Italia final against Bologna.

Massimiliano Allegri Allegri now returns to San Siro for a second spell in charge. The experienced Italian tactician previously managed AC Milan from 2010 to 2014, guiding the Rossoneri to a Serie A title in the 2010–11 season and securing the Supercoppa Italiana. His tenure ended in 2014 after a dip in form.

Following his time at Milan, Massimiliano Allegri return AC MILAN enjoyed significant success with Juventus. Across two stints (2014–2019 and 2021–2024), he led the Bianconeri to five consecutive Serie A titles, establishing himself as one of Italy’s top coaches.

Reports from Italian media suggest that Allegri has signed a two-year contract with AC Milan as he looks to rebuild the squad and bring the club back to the top of Italian and European football.
